Planet Hollywood resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip has come to reopen its doors on thursday, October 8. The decision came from Caesars Entertainment, in accordance with directives from state governor Steve Sisolak and the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
It’s the first reopening of the casino-resort since it’s shutdown 7 months ago. The hotel will accommodate guests staying for the weekends, from Thursday through Sunday.
Jason Gregorec, Senior VP and Planet Hollywood: “We are overjoyed to welcome our loyal guests and dedicated team members back to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the centerpiece of the famous Las Vegas Strip,”
“Our guests can once again enjoy the unique experiences Planet Hollywood offers, as we continue to emphasize our enhanced health and safety protocols.”
The amenities which reopened include Gordon Ramsay Burger, Pin-Up Pizza, Ringer Wings, Pizza & Sliders Sports Bar, Starbucks (located in the lobby and casino), Heart Bar, Extra Lounge, and more. Planet Hollywood Spa welcomes visitors as well as the newly branded William Hill Race & Sports Book. Retails PH 24 and PH Need It have also reopened while the Miracle Mile Shops have already reopened on June 9.
In September, Caesars agreed terms on a deal for its Caesars UK Holdings subsidiary to acquire the entire William Hill sports betting business for approximately $3.72bn (£2.9bn /€3.17bn).
This followed the mega-merger between Eldorado Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, which was completed in July and created the largest casino and entertainment business in the US.
The operator recently sold some of its properties, including Harrah’s Reno Hotel and Casino in Nevada, in a $41.5m agreement with CAI Investments, and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs Casino, Racing & Entertainment for $22m to Rubico Acquisition.
