Casino Affiliate Programs
We are now expanding into B2C, publishing player-facing casino reviews and category pages for players across international markets.
The two sides feed each other. We know exactly how these bonus terms are drafted before they are published on the bonus page. We know why a withdrawal request which should take ‘1–3 days’ to process can remain in the ‘manual review’ stage for a whole week. We are aware of what goes on behind the scenes when you receive a KYC alert.
That is why, when we review a casino, we don’t just look at its homepage. We also scrutinise the small print. We read through the entire terms and conditions and the cashier section, as we know the summary rarely tells the whole story.
On every page, you will notice we hold ourselves to the same standard. We answer your questions directly. We state findings, not opinions. And we don’t sugarcoat anything just to make a casino look good. We call out limitations that could catch you off guard.
Whichever side of the industry you are on, we hold every page to the same standard and we don't sugarcoat anything to make a casino or a programme look better than it is.
Casino affiliate programs reward you with a portion of the value of the players you attract to online casinos. You can earn a recurring share of their losses or a flat fee for each player you successfully acquire. If you're an affiliate, webmaster, operator or affiliate manager looking to evaluate a program based on its true terms instead of its published rate, read on.
Our perspective is from years of reporting on the operator side of online gaming plus affiliate management experience. We compare programs on the criteria that determine how much revenue you can actually take home: payout structure, contract details, product hold, payment frequency, and regional relevance. Learn how these programs work and how to evaluate any affiliate program you're interested in before you send traffic.

How Online Casino Affiliate Programs Work

A casino affiliate places a tracking link (or banner or review article) with a unique referral ID cookie affixed to it. Someone clicks through, registers at the casino, and deposits. Then, they start playing. From that moment forward, the affiliate benefits from commissions based on the value that player generates.
Note that affiliates don’t get paid on clicks. Attribution is cookie-based with a defined cookie window. The cookie window is typically between 30 and 90 days. That means someone clicks your link today but may not convert for weeks. But, as long as they convert within that window, you get the credit. Sub-IDs allow you to tag pages or campaigns individually and track precisely what traffic converts/deposits.
As for what is considered a conversion, this is dependent on the deal you’ve negotiated. For some programs, you may get paid on the first deposit. With others, you may get paid on registration + some wagering threshold. Typically RevShare payouts are based on net revenue generated by the player.
In the iGaming industry, there are two terms you should know that factor into the math. GGR is gross gaming revenue or how much money players lose before any costs are taken out. NGR stands for net gaming revenue: GGR minus bonuses paid, plus payment processing fees, gaming taxes and any other additional deductions taken out. Your RevShare commission will be calculated using NGR. So, this is why these deductions are often more important than the percentage you negotiated.
Casino Affiliate Commission Models Explained
The commission model makes the biggest difference in your actual payout. Online casino programs typically offer one of the four models below. Some programs allow you to negotiate or choose what works best. It depends on the type of traffic you have, monthly volume, and longevity of promoting a particular brand. These four models cover almost every deal on the market.
Revenue Share (RevShare)
RevShare provides the affiliate a continuing percentage of the net revenue that each referred player contributes. Sometimes this is for the lifetime of the player at that casino. Rates generally range between 25% and 40%. Programs frequently tier: the more new depositors you bring in per month, the higher your rate.
Two casino-specific variables determine if that number is legit: first, if it's calculated on GGR or NGR, and the deductions made before NGR is calculated. Second, negative carryover - if your referred players win during a monthly cycle, that negative roll carries over to the next month and takes out of your pocket before you make a penny. Therefore, RevShare is ideal for affiliates who concentrate on the long-term value of players.
Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)
CPA is an upfront flat fee per qualifying player (usually ranging from €50 to €300). Rather than just a naked sign-up, the conversion requirement is typically based on making a minimum deposit or wagering requirement. The upside and downside are obvious here; your income is very predictable and extremely easy to forecast. However, you earn nothing from a player's continued losses. CPA offers often have qualifiers attached as well as quality or quota requirements. (i.e., a minimum amount of qualifying players monthly). Any high-volume traffic source that converts well but does not hold would be ideal for CPA.
Hybrid Models
As the name implies, hybrid is a mix between CPA and RevShare. You get a smaller CPA payment coupled with a residual RevShare. You sacrifice some upfront cash flow in exchange for a share of the long-term value of your players. Hybrid models are typically negotiable, not offered up front. Most hybrid programs won't even unlock until you prove some kind of history/trust or consistent volume. It is ideal for affiliates looking to lower the risk of their campaign spend while maintaining some value for players they help retain.
Sub-Affiliate / Referral
There are also programs that pay you a small portion of what your affiliates earn for the casino they promote. Typically 2% to 5%. This provides you with a second stream of passive income from people you recruit into the program. Treat this as icing on the cake, not a way to run your business: the rate is usually single digits and is completely outside of your control.
Direct Casino Affiliate Programs vs Affiliate Networks
Affiliates reach casino programs two ways: by joining a casino's in-house direct program or by joining an affiliate network that hosts many casinos under one account. Direct programs give you a closer relationship with the casino, direct access to an account manager, and usually more room to negotiate rates and carryover terms. The cost is administrative: separate accounts, logins, statements, and payments for every casino you work with.
On the other hand, networks consolidate everything into one dashboard with a single payment and a spread of brands to test. The trade-off is an added intermediary and terms that tend to be more standardized and less negotiable. The commission models and fine-print factors covered above apply to both routes, so read the T&Cs whichever way you enter.

How We Choose the Best Casino Affiliate Programs
The headline commission rate is only one part of the picture. The criteria below are how the Gaffg team assesses and ranks every gambling affiliate program. The process is applied consistently and without preference for any, and it weighs terms and product quality as heavily as the advertised percentage.

Casino vs Sportsbook Affiliate Programs
Casino and sportsbook programs both sit under the gambling affiliate umbrella, but they behave differently in earnings patterns, player behavior, seasonality, and content strategy. That means the best fit depends on your traffic and niche. Casino play tends to run year-round and lean on bonus-driven retention, while sportsbook activity spikes around fixtures and seasons and rewards odds-led content. The table below summarizes the genuine differences.
| Factor | Casino Affiliate Programs | Sportsbook Affiliate Programs |
|---|---|---|
| Typical commission models | RevShare, CPA, hybrid | CPA-heavy, RevShare, hybrid |
| Player lifetime value | Steady, longer-tail | Volatile, event-linked |
| Revenue pattern / seasonality | Fairly even year-round | Season and fixture spikes |
| Player behavior & volatility | Frequent smaller sessions | Bursty, big-event driven |
| Content & SEO angle | Game and bonus reviews | Odds, tips, event previews |
| Main retention drivers | Bonuses, game variety | Odds, live betting, cashout |
Putting It All Together
The best casino affiliate program is the one whose commission structure, contract terms, product quality, and GEO licenses suit your traffic best, not necessarily the program offering the highest flashing percentage rate. That 45% RevShare program with indefinite negative carryover on a casino product that players abandon after one week will pay you far less than a fair 30% program whose casino actually keeps players. Check the fine print, verify payout history, and make sure the licensed jurisdictions suit your traffic before you send volume.
