Singh joined the operator as president, product and technology in July of last year, having previously served as chief technology officer and executive vice president of Aristocrat Leisure.

He then continued: “Given his industry experience and leadership skills, I have no doubt that Manjit will be a valuable addition to the board.”

The transition comes after PointsBet last week announced a shortfall bookbuild helped it reach its target of raising AUD$153.2m (£85.0m/€92.9m/US$109.1m) through a retail entitlement process.

The offer was part of a larger fundraising effort, which has now raised more than $350m.

PointsBet wants to reach the top

Recently, PointsBet made it public that its platform was going to start offering live streams of the sports events that it has available to the registered players.

The innovative move shocked the whole industry since it was a feature that no other gambling platform had available, making lots of new players and experts focus their attention on the Australian brand in a short period of time.

Apart from that, PointsBet decided to improve its in-play betting alternatives, allowing the players to modify their bets and wagers while the matches are under way.

The initiative surely made plenty of players happy, since that increased their chances of winning high amounts of money on a daily basis.

The sudden growth of PointsBet

PointsBet was launched initially in Australia with the intention of becoming a solid and trustworthy betting platform for the Aussie players.

The platform was more than just a success, and so the betting company started looking for new challenges and jurisdictions to enter.

Eventually, PointsBet made it to the United States of America, a nation known for its strict gambling regulations and restrictions that have left many operators with no other choice than to leave the market.

According to PointsBet representatives, United States is a lucrative jurisdiction that can be reached with discipline and hard work at all times.

Certainly, PointsBet has demonstrated such values to the point of becoming one of the most powerful betting brands in the whole American territory.

Up to this day, PointsBet has managed to offer its gambling services in the following American states: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and New Jersey.

In addition to that, PointsBet is working to enter other states in the near future so that more American players can enjoy legal online gambling services.

Marketing strategies used by PointsBet

PointsBet has definitely grown rapidly in the American territory and the rest of the world.

One of the main reasons behind its success is the incredible and efficient marketing strategies that it has used over the last few years. One of those strategies has been the partnerships it has made with several important brands and personalities.

For instance, PointsBet made a deal with Rip Hamilton, an NBA champion and 3-time All-star player to represent the brand as an ambassador all across the United States.

The deal has worked to perfection, alluring a high number of NBA fans to the betting platform is a short period of time.
